Started off a little rocky as there were a lot of people trying to check in but no line so people were just going out of order. I stood in a "line" for about 10 minutes before someone told us it wasn't for check-in and moved us to another group of people that were all trying to check in with only 2 receptionists. However, they eventually added another receptionist and I was able to get checked in a couple hours before check in time and with an upgrade from a king bed to 2 queen beds which was more ideal for my stay. The elevators were pretty fast and I didn't have to spend much time waiting for an open one. Our room was very clean, our AC was excellent, nice big TV with several apps installed so it was easy to connect for shows. The shower had excellent water pressure and they supplied high quality bath products. The cleaning service did an excellent job both days of taking out our garbage, replacing our towels and making our beds. Mattresses were comfortable with lots of pillows. Window opened enough to hear the sounds of the city which was nice. View was very nice, could see lots of skyscrapers, some billboards on Times Square and a glimpse of the Hudson. Check out was super easy with a key dropbox at the front desk.

This hotel is unfortunately rundown and in desperate need of a facelift. Management has obviously let things deteriorate (broken railing in the elevators, broken toilet paper holder in my room, wallpaper peeling from walls, stained carpets, scuffed walls, etc.). I also requested housekeeping and they never came. Overall, the location is good. But for the price, you could stay at a much nicer hotel near Times Square.
