The place looks better in the pictures. Some of the furniture was worn, and the cleaning wasn’t up to the highest standard either. All of the towels showed signs of use and had some stains. The heating wasn’t working when we arrived. We reported the issue, and after three hours with no response, I contacted them again—they only offered an extra blanket?! It was 14°C throughout the entire flat. After more back and forth, they finally provided us with another apartment. On the other hand, they did supply tea, a dishwasher tablet, kitchen towels, and toilet paper. Unfortunately, they ran out of coffee on Monday and couldn’t provide any until Friday. The kitchen had basic cookware, cutlery, plates, and glasses. On the second floor, the working area is very pretty and peaceful. There’s also a pool table for some fun. The rooftop was closed, but even so, it’s a very small area and quite noisy due to the pipes. Overall, the location is great with easy access to Wall Street. Since everything looked brand new in the pictures, I was slightly disappointed.

Checked in 8pm after a long day of travel. Staying 5 days, we booked a Superior One-Bed. Spacious and fully equipped kitchen. Lots of room to spread out. A great area, Fulton St Subway well connected with various lines. Good local market. Close to Brooklyn Bridge, Wall St, Financial District, Stone St etc. However we had issues with our room. Firstly, it room didn’t live up to the images on the website. The furniture, cabinets etc were damaged and very tired. Sonder keeps up with decorations, but not so much furniture and fittings. Asked reception about an alternative room and initially offered a move to a different property which was unusual. Didn’t want to move elsewhere and then offered a slightly different room which we agreed would be ok. Asked to see the room to check condition, make sure it was worth swapping. The response was we'd have to cancel the existing room and move without seeing it. We then couldn’t swap back to our original as it would be "inconvenient to housekeeping…" Receptionist not prepared to budge, regardless of reasoning. Left with a dilemma of moving to another room and possibly get something worse, or sticking with the existing having to live with it. Getting late, needing to buy groceries and get something to eat, we opted to keep the original though mot pleased that inconveniencing housekeeping is a greater priority than guest satisfaction. Sonder need to re-furbish the rooms and re-think its policy on room changes!
