I’ve stayed at various Sonder locations multiple times, including both this one and the one near Battery Park, so I’m quite familiar with the rooms. I specifically booked a room with a couch bed, but when I arrived, I was given a room with only a couch. I don’t make mistakes like this when booking, so it was clearly an error on their part. When I asked to switch rooms to avoid having to sleep on the floor, I was told that no rooms were available, even at their other location. There wasn’t even a rollaway bed to offer. Instead, they gave me an air mattress that was dirty and had a hole in it, so I couldn’t use it. In the end, I had to sleep on the couch, which was incredibly uncomfortable. I ended up pulling a muscle in my back, completely ruining my trip. Given this experience, I will no longer be staying at Sonder.

It was small but nice, the tub had a slow drain, not the end of the world but just wanted to mention. Also, a creepy guy was walking around the lobby, made me feel very uncomfortable and the doorman stated he lived there. As my husband and I entered the elevator along with the two young ladies he got on as well and was very openly gawking at them smiling very suspiciously. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone traveling alone, you can’t tell who lives there or who is renting, it’s a strange set up. Everything was super easy as far as instructions though I did have to download a whole app to get the check in instructions.
